new_site"Werner Law Firm" launched its new corporate web-site. The new web-site became more user-friendly, visually laconic and light.

The design became modern and attractive, and the corporate stile of the company was visually preserved.

The structure of the web-site was also redesigned and became more understandable in use. Basic principles regarding preparation of the texts were compactness and preciseness.

"Werner Law Firm" represented successfully the interests of a major investment company in a hearing in the Highest Commercial Court of Ukraine in a dispute over the validity of a lease agreement of a land plot in the resort area of the Southern Coast of Crimea.

We won a series of court disputes regarding the validity of a lease agreement of a land plot of a major investment company. The client possessed on the right of use a land plot with the size of 3 ha on the Southern Coast of Crimea and realized a project of construction of an elite cottage town.

In the course of realization of a complex strategy of protection of assets we involved regional and national expert institutions in the sphere of land regulation. We achieved judgements favourable to our client in the commercial and administrative courts of the first instance, courts of appeal and courts of cassational appeal.

"Werner & Partner" represented successfully interests of an Austrian company in a commercial dispute on declaring invalid a trademark certificate.

On 29 March 2011 the Highest Commercial Court of Ukraine supported decisions of lower courts, by which a trademark certificated challenged by our client was declared invalid for the reason that when being submitted an application for obtaining the abovementioned certificate violated the rights of third persons.

It should be noted that when considering the dispute Ukrainian courts applied the norm of the substantive law of Austria, pursuant to which assignment of the author’s economic rights may be conducted on the basis of an orally concluded agreement concluded.
